Jessamine is a recent Los Angeles transplant from New York, acting in indie film and commercials since 2014. Some of her films have been in festivals and can be streamed (but most didn't get that far). She lives for unique stories that break the norm, seeking freedom, empowerment and human connection in her work. Besides her artistic pursuits, she's passionate about community building, environmental justice and holistic health, and volunteers for Food & Water Watch.

Jessamine grew up in the woods of Massachusetts, in a solar-powered house her parents built. They had pigs, chickens and an organic garden way before it was cool. Without a TV, she spent her time reading, dancing, drawing, producing skits and running wild. In middle school, brain surgery left one vocal cord paralyzed, but she played principal roles in school plays with the help of a microphone.

Jessamine graduated magna cum laude from Bryn Mawr College with a double major and two honors theses in not-acting. In New York City, a stint in publishing gave way to a chance modeling career. She enjoyed a season on Project Runway, and years of walking and shooting for emerging designers and brands like Proenza Schouler, Etro and Max Mara.  Amazon, Apple, Sony and Ebay made use of her commercial skills. She devoted herself to studying acting and finding her own roles in indie films until her relentless pursuit of magic led her West.
